Geekdom in the Fiefdom
with Henry Lien and Baruch Porras Hernandez
No matter what genre you write words for — fantasy, science fiction, romance, horror — queer people are a part of the fandom. But, queer genre geeks often have to wait patiently for their favorite genres to diversify and make room for explicit queer stories. In this session, writers who work within different genres and in different media will have a cross-genre discussion about how they carved a space for queerness in their respective fields and what it means to remind fandoms that queer people exist and have romantic, strange, frightening and fantastical stories to tell.
See you there my queer lit nerd buds!
