Hello nerdlings,

I’m back! After finishing a book chapter a few weeks ago (and to better ignore my jealousy about not being at SDCC), I decided to head up North to my cottage for a week – a place with neither TV nor internet (I know, how did I survive?) But I managed to make my way back to civilization, and have some new goodies up!

After the unthinkable happened (Tatiana Maslany didn’t get an Emmy nomination for her work on Space and BBC America’s Orphan Black), I wrote a rage-y Special Feature for PopWrapped. Check it out here: Why You Should Be Mad About Tatiana Maslany’s Emmy Snub.

There’s also a brand-new post of mine up at Dork Shelf, about one of my all-time favourite comic series: Marvel’s The Runaways.

Dream Casting Runaways Movie

I’ve popped up a new page for #TVPOV, so you can check out all of the episodes Melissa and I have recorded live so far. Here’s Episode 3, for your viewing pleasure! We chat about the TV news to come out of SDCC, as well as the upcoming premieres of Broadchurch (which is incredible), The White Queen, and Hell on Wheels!

.

Now I’m just going to glue myself to my computer until the make the 12th Doctor announcement on Sunday!

Hey nerds!

Sorry for being a bit quiet last week – I was mourning the fact that I won’t be heading to SDCC tomorrow to join the masses of my people as they converge upon the mecca of nerddom. Sigh.

Oh, and also I was finishing up a big book chapter for an upcoming Doctor Who book from Scarecrow Press, so that kept me pretty busy, believe it or not.

I did broadcast a second episode of TV POV with Melissa of The Televixen, and you can check it out right here. We talk about the pilot episode of FX’s The Bridge and the fourth season premiere of USA’s Covert Affairs (which is full of shirtless Auggie!)

.

I’ve got a couple of pieces up on PopWrapped as well, including one about Prince Charles and Camilla taking a tour of the TARDIS with Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman on the Doctor Who set that you don’t want to miss.

If you’re heading to SDCC, have extra fun for me – and bring me back some goodies!

Hey nerds!

I’ve got some new writing up for your enjoyment today (yes, you!). In “news that is not at all surprising,” check out my latest hit for PopWrapped, Braggers on Facebook are the Most Unfriended.

Also, if you’re interested in reading about some of the most embarrassingly terrible baddies in DC history, hit up my newest piece for Dork Shelf!

Sam Maggs and John Barrowman, no big dealHi, internet friends; welcome to my website! If this were Hogwarts, you’d currently be in the Entrance Hall (and I would be a Ravenclaw, deal with it.)

On this site, you can find links to all of my writing; I currently blog for a bunch of great nerd-culture and entertainment sites, and I’m in the process of writing chapters for a couple of books. You can also read up on my back-story (if you’re interested), and check out my forays into the world of cosplay.

As you can see, I wear a lot of different hats, but I’m always looking to wear more. If you’re interested in getting in touch with me about a project you’re working on that you’d like me to contribute to or write about, go ahead and hit up my contact page!

Thanks so much for checking out my site!
